Privacy Policy

Last updated July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Fourth Meridian (the "Service") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Fourth Meridian is currently offered as a closed beta.

Our guiding principle is minimalism: we keep no more than we need to run the Service, and we never sell your data.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information. The email address and credentials you use to create an account, and any profile details you provide.
  • Financial information. Data from accounts you choose to link (such as balances, holdings, and transactions) and any assets, debts, or notes you add manually.
  • Usage and device information. Basic technical data — such as your browser, device, and sign-in events — used to operate and secure the Service.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide the Service: aggregating your accounts into a single view, computing net worth and history, and generating your daily briefing.
  • To secure your account: authentication, two-factor verification, rate limiting, and audit logging of sensitive actions.
  • To communicate with you about the Service, including beta access.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your financial data to advertise to you.

3. Linked financial accounts

When you connect a bank or brokerage, access is read-only wherever the provider supports it. Provider access tokens are encrypted at rest. You can disconnect a linked account at any time.

4. AI processing

Some features generate briefings and suggestions from your financial context. See our AI Disclosures for what this involves, what is shared with any model provider, and the limits of AI-generated output.

5. Sharing

We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Service (such as infrastructure, financial-data connectivity, and email delivery), and only as needed to provide it. We may disclose information if required by law.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, except where we are required to retain limited records by law.

7. Your choices

  • Access and export. You can export a full copy of your data from within the Service.
  • Deletion. You can delete your account and associated data at any time.
  • Two-factor. You can enable and manage two-factor authentication at any time.

8. Security

We use encryption, hashing of credentials, least-privilege access to linked accounts, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, but protecting your data is a first-order priority — see our security page for details.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the Service.

10. Contact

Questions about this Policy, or requests regarding your data, can be raised through the request-access form on this site until dedicated support channels are published.
